Update Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009:

Bandit took a BIG step tonight.  Bandit got grapes and pizza crust tonight, as with the rest of the flock did.  Hubby and i went upstairs to do a wing trim.  i opened the door and Bandit climbed out and on the perch on the door.  we talked to him/her for a bit and then i offered my finger to step up on.. i said step up and Bandit stepped up, gently..  we both gave LOTS of praise... i did it again a few times...
then we went into the bathroom with Bandit...  i turned on the shower and Bandit fanned and shook his tail feathers... Bandit seemed to want a bathe... so i gently moved Bandit under the shower stream a few times.. he really seemed to enjoy that... then i put a towel over my over hand and offered for Bandit to step up on that hand.. he did willingly.. then i wrapped him up, as it was a bit late for a shower, and dried him off a bit... then we trimmed his wings... i under wrapped him and he was a good birdie.. we walked back out to the cage and i let him step up on the playtop.. i put a towel in the bottom of the cage, as he had a fright this morning when my son's alarm went off and he got a little boo boo on his breast bone.. it looks good tonight... we do not want that to happen again.. so the towel will go in each night and i have a night light on by his cage... while Bandit was on my fingers, i offered a kissie to him... he leaned forward and gave me a kissie.. not once, but twice.. what a good baby.. we gave LOTS of praise for his good behavior... he even stepped up for hubby.. WOO HOO.. hubby went down stairs and i continued to work with some step ups with Bandit.. inside his cage and onto other perches in his cage..  he did very well.. Bandit is such a good baby.. and i know this is still the honeymoon period with Bandit.. i am trying to make it as positive as possible..
